Very mild, sometimes sweet acorns which are on the large size. This is definitely in the "eat the trees" category. The large acorn is 1 to 1½ inches long and 5/8 to 1 inches thick. The generally lower tannin levels make this easier to process before eating or processing into flour.
How to grow: We have sprouted the seeds for you so there is no need to pre-treat them. Seedlings, unlike many tree species do not like to be shaded when small. Once acclimated to the outdoors (if starting them inside) plant them in full sun and do not allow other weeds/tree seedlings to overtake them.
