One of the LARGEST, reddest, and best cranberries available! Native to the US, it grows 6-12” tall and 2 feet wide. Contrary to popular belief, cranberries do not like wet feet. Well drained soil is best. The water in the bogs is used commercially to assist in harvesting. Cranberries also require a strongly acidic soil, rich in organic matter. Even here in Maine, you will need to add sulfur or aluminum sulfate ( available in the garden section of your favorite big box store). pH needs to be between 4 and 5.2. Since this is the same for blueberries, consider cranberries as a groundcover near your bushes when young.
